Database maintenance on the desktop

A backup of the database can be saved on a desktop computer using the web interface. This file is called storeit.db, and appears to be in SQLite format. Can I modify the backup using SQLite database software on the desktop, and then use the modified version on the iPhone? It's a lot easier to use a full-size keyboard and screen to modify the database, rather than doing it on the iPhone.

It could be possible to do, although the internal structure of the StoreIt database is not a direct representation of the categories defined in the application so it could be a bit tricky to get right.

Are you saying that one cannot add/edit/delete data from StoreIt database using SQLite on the desktop computer? Didn't I read somewhere in your descriptions that it is compatible and you could do this very thing?

You can edit the data through SQLite, but you just need to exercise caution when doing it as the model is not a direct representation of what you see through the StoreIt interface.
