    Greetings -

I just purchased the StoreIT Pro (8-JAN-2012) and installed on iPhone 4. I created a new category, created and saved a record and shut down the app. Re-started the app and attempted a connection with web browser on PC. No web page or connection was available. The address was: http://192.168.1.2:55408/

I tried shutting down and re-booting the iPhone. Re-started the app and tried to get a browser link but same result - no such site is available to the browser. iPhone is definitely connected to WiFi network. Tried with Firefox and Chrome browsers. Same failure. Any ideas would be appreciated. The ability to access the DB from a PC was the reason I chose this app over the multitude of others.

    Thanks in advance -

This sort of problem normally indicates something going on with the local network configuration. If you've tried rebooting your phone then other users have managed to get things connected with a reboot of their wireless router. That might help solve your problem.

If you can reboot the router then open the app and tap the sync button, more than likely the url will have changed so you will need to make sure the one you type into your browser matches up again.

If this still doesn't work then have a go at this. The url will be displayed as the following on the StoreIt Link screen on your phone: http://<ip-address>:<port-no>/ (e.g. http://192.168.0.2:49698). While the StoreIt Link screen is displayed open a Command Prompt/Terminal window on your desktop computer and type in: ping <ip-address> (e.g. ping 192.168.0.2). It should respond with:

    Reply from <ip-address> ....

several times. This checks whether you can see the phone on your network at all. If it doesn't respond correctly (will probably say "Request timed out." then this points to a network issue. Is it possible that their is a firewall blocking the connection to your phone?

    Hope this helps.
